CBC Advisors DFW Adds Assistant Vice President
ARLINGTON, Texas (October 23, 2017)– Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors DFW has hired a seven-year professional as an assistant vice president in an ongoing initiative to strengthen its retail business.
Joining the team is Christopher Grubbs, most recently an associate with Weitzman Group. His background includes mortgage brokerage with Prime Lending, a Plains Capital Co., and as a research analyst for Mohr Partners.
Grubbs is reuniting with his former colleague, Steve Gray, managing principal of Arlington-based CBC Advisors DFW, to form the metroplex’s newest retail team for project leasing, tenant representation and general brokerage.
“Steve has been my mentor in retail,” Grubbs says. “I had always hoped that I could work with him again.”
Gray, a 20-year veteran of the retail sector, joined CBC Advisors six months ago. Since then, he has assumed the local affiliate’s top position and increased its retail business by lobbing a full-court press for leasing assignments to lay the foundation for the new group. Now, it’s team-building time.
“Chris is an excellent retail leasing agent. We are fortunate to have him join the CBC Advisors team,” Gray says.
Grubbs is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers and North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. He holds a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Mississippi.
Grubbs’ longtime friends introduced him to commercial brokerage. He soon developed a passion for retail. “I prefer retail because it’s like solving a puzzle. There is a flow to shopping centers. It’s all about finding the piece that fits,” Grubbs says.
